Facebook Requires Real Names - Account Blocked

So my account was blocked this morning despite having a .edu when it was registered in 2005. I only had a first name last initial. My name is in my e-mail account too. When I was forced to update it with a real, full name. Problem is my name is close to a well known celebrity - so it blocked me again and said I had one more chance or my account would be disabled. So I put a variation on the name and misspelt it and worked.

Anyone else run into this issue?

yes this is the same on all accounts, you now have to fill all info or your account gets blocked. if you just put basic details in 72 hours you may get roadblocked. same for all of us.
