I have a facebook religious group and it's growing well.
I start it out probably 2 years ago and I don't do anything on the page other than just accept all new member requests, and moderate the posts (so they have to be approved by me).
Since it's religious, it pretty much fuels itself given how much passion and fervor they have. I'm not even of that religion. I just wanted to make a group (because I did some homework/research and found a good market for it).
But it's suddenly taken off in the last 3 months or so. It's now grown to 4,000 members (99% of that came in the last 2-3 months) and I'm getting about 400-500 requests each week. The group is very active, with tons of interaction (I approve posts) and many people comment and like etc.
I predict this group will max out at around 40,000 or so probably within a year (based on my personal research and market study).
I'm just wondering, what are some ways I could make money with a group like this?
I was thinking I could try and contact local religious companies/brands/stores etc that might want to pay me for advertising or putting their ad in my group and pinning it to the top or making it my group cover page? Is that how you usually do it? What do you charge? $50 a month to have their photo on my fb group cover?
