Facebook Reels question

So, I have a question, does location matter in Facebook reels? I wanted to start a Facebook page and hopefully earn via in-stream/overlay ads.

I am from The Philippines which is definitely not a "Football" country, I wanted to post content about the UEFA region, top 5 leagues, trade rumors, etc. because that's where my interests lie.

Will my location affect my audience? Will my reels be shown to audiences outside my region? Because that's what I wanted to, for my content to be pushed beyond my region.

Kindly post similar experiences about this, to those who have. Thanks!

No sir, I wanted to reach a broader audience, preferably those outside my region. Will this work?
 
Location affects your default distribution but it's not a hard wall. Pages posting in English about European football regularly build audiences outside their home country, language and content type matter more than where you're posting from.
The bigger issue is that Philippines accounts sometimes have slower monetization eligibility for in-stream ads compared to Tier 1 regions. Worth checking current Meta eligibility requirements for your country before you invest too much time.
Consistency and posting during European prime time rather than Philippine time will help with reach to the right audience.

in the page settings, there is an option for country y can choose exactly where you want your page to be visible or hidden if you don't configure this the page will be visible worldwide by default
 
Here is a short natural reply you can post: Location matters a bit at the start, but it is not a big limitation.From what I have seen, facebook tests your content locally first, then pushes it to a wider audience if it performs well. So even if you’re in the Philippines, you can still reach football fans in other regions.Focus on good content and engagement, and it should expand beyond your local audience over time.
 
You can reach beyond your region for sure. It has no affect, or very small affect. I can still see post from Philippines Football page.
 
This is very influential; your reels will, of course, display mostly in your country, with only a small percentage displayed in other countries because you are followed by accounts from other countries.

Your location will affect your audience but not all of them. For starting, you are from Philippines so your reels will be more easily targeted to people in that area first. However your reels has potential to go viral globally.
When you make content for your reel, please try to use English and international trending music

Try using hot trend hashtags and creating English content to post during European hours. Create related and synchronized content sets from the beginning so that Facebook's machine learning distributes to the right viewer base from the start.

Location matters a bit in the beginning, but it’s not a hard limit.
Usually FB pushes your stuff locally first just to see how people react. If engagement is decent, it starts showing it to a wider audience.
I’ve seen pages from random countries get traffic from US/UK just because the content hit.
In your case (football) you’re fine, it’s global anyway. Just make sure your content is in English and actually engaging.
If your reels don’t get reactions early, they’ll just die locally and won’t go further.
So I’d focus more on making the content hit than worrying about location too much.
