I understand that Facebook has the numbers but what is the best way to monetize?

I just dont understand the fan/community page principle. To me, people seem to love those idiotic pages like "If you did Lady Gaga, would you use protection"?
So they get viral, but to me, these people are not going to come back to this page. You get the initial rush but i dont think people are going to hang around.

I know there are involved plans sending them to a website, cpa, but I just cant see it working that well. Ive purchased ads very catchy subjects got many thousand impressions, very few clicks.

To me, it seems that most folk on there just go to chat with their friends and talk about the good old days. In fact I think they actually avoid ads and anything suspicious because of all the hacking on there.

Anyway, thats just the way I see it. If you are making thousands from Facebook, Id love to hear from you.

Even IF these people didnt come back to the page on their own, you've gotta make them. Always updating your information, posting status updates CASUALLY directing them towards your cpa offers. It works, but its hard to not violate facebooks BULLSHIT TOS and get your shit banned and have to start alllllll over.

I wont deny that, I do have a lot to learn. So what would you suggest?
One of those "stupid" pages that seem to go viral? Cpa offers? Or a niche page for example on acoustic guitars? cpa?

Use CPA to monetize a viral page. A lot of people have success promoting cpa gateway pages on facebook. You can promote niche pages as well, I wrote a guide about promoting a very profitable niche with social marketing, see my sig.
 
Dude, people are killing it on facebook and will be for a long time, 450 million people is a lot of people. Just surf this forum, its full of facebook info, and many success stories on here, you have to take action and get your feet wet, just try some things and see what happens.....
 
I'm making a killing advertising on there. If you get the right offers up to the right people, it's not that tough. Biggest catch is figuring out the targeting, or at least it was for me. I however, have zero experience with the fan page thing.

My suggestion if you are serious about advertising is download Facebook Ad Power. It came out a couple of months ago, and really gave me some insight into targeting and writing ads for facebook. I can't remember if I found it on BHW or just through a google search, but it's definitely floating around out there.
 
Facewizard is $149 on BHW the last time I checked. But you dont necessarily need that to make money from FB. You've just gotta be a little inventive.
 
i don't think u will need facewizard to start making money,u will need it when u have made some money and want to scale it to a bigger amount
 
I dont think that people are only chating... maybe only the kids... there are many seriouse people on facebook who advertise a product and stuff.. and there are as well buyers too... facebook became a mass commercial! :)

I disagree. I was making some nice money off of facebook. But it required quite a lot of work.

I just bought facewizard a couple of days ago to scale it up now ;) and I'm at $100 per day now while manually I was making 40-50. Still scaling up and taking things slowly :)
 
so how would u guys suggest starting on FB
Say Step 1 Get Some Accounts
Step2: Add Thousand of Friends
Step 3: Convert Friends into fans
....... and so on or there is some other route?
 
So you're selling PVA's for Facebook but you have no idea how to monitize it? ;)

There are many different ways and there are plenty of ebooks in the download section about it.
The method you're describing is one of them yes. I'm also using another one which I rather not share because it can easily get saturated. I'm sure you understand.

The thing you have to keep in mind that every method you find will probably be a bit saturated, else people do not share it. So put a little twist on everything and you'll start earning a few bucks and then scale up :)
 
unfortunetly I never found time to experiment and get things tested but now seems like I have some time may be 15 days and thought about getting my hands wet, just not sure where to get things started, I have decided to spend 1st 3 days for reading next 5 days on implementing those and then next 3 days do some more research and and re implement.

If things go fine will continue other wise will go back to my regular job :P
