They've been slowly doing it for quite some time now and it was expected anyway, just don't rely on them for your reach, there are things you can do to increase it like - join a couple hundred groups in your niche and share your posts from your page on all of them, it will increase the reach a lot and also attract new likes - but make sure to share good stuff.
