On some of the Facebook posts on one of my pages I’ve noticed the Reach is down by around 50 or 60%, this happens mostly on links and text only posts. It’s only been going on a few days and happened right after I accidentally posted something with a clickbait keyword. Has anyone seen this issue before? Please let me know your experience and if it will go back to normal.

The issue will get back to normal after you stop posting click bait links. But be ware, if you continue you will get 0 reach penalty. Facebook has a AI algoritm which scans links for click-bait titles. If the robots detects links your page will get 0 reach in 1st penalty : 24hours, 2nd penalty: 7days, 3rd penalty: 2weeks and 4th penalty: 30 days. At the 5th penalty your page will be unpublished.

Alright thank you. How long does it usually take this issue with lower reach I am dealing with to go away after I stop posting clickbait titles?

That depends on the content you are posting. Stop posting click bait headlines. You can google the facebook for the official phrases. The AI robot is a constant learning machine and it will update pretty quick if you oblige. Also for a better safety find out what works for your page audience and post as needed.

Alright. I have only posted a few links over the past few days which I don’t believe are clickbait. How many days or weeks would it take to go back to normal at most?

As is said it depends on your post frequency and headlines. Also sometimes the AI robot can make a mistake when scanning, that's why you have the form to APPEAL the decision. But be ware! I have friends that have appealed and got their pages unpublished because they had the guts to appeal a decision without making a manual post scanning for headlines.

My page was not hit with zero reach, it only has lower reach right now. You’re saying that to will go away in its own?

I experienced this problem too. and specially with the latest algorithm its really hard to earn and be safe at the same time. I had to lose a few of my pages because of this. since then i have become very careful and now i rely on brand content only. They give me revenue share and up side is that the links are safe for page. Currently i am a publisher at www.adublisher.com and i am happy with the results so far.

I have question, its kinda related. I have fake account, usually if I shared my page post in groups, it would get hundreds of likes, some of post reached 10k-200k reach, after I got restriction to post in groups, I only get few likes and reach is low like 10% of what I would get out of post before. I have my own trick how to enable, disabled account, however if i get back account it has low reach even without restrictions. As i see you need old account with activity to have better reach. Anyone can explain what is going on and how to improve it? Same penalties work on regular accounts?

Yes. Now facebook filters also look at the personal account which posts in behalf of page names to see if the account creates viral content or spam.

Do you know if the AI can detect other language than English?

My fanpage started with 50% drops in a few posts (like 5 of 10 posts)... By the days this got worse, without click bait or anything, the reach was going lower, and now my reach is down like 97% in ALL posts. But started just like you, a few posts losing 50% reach. I have been like that for 2 weeks.

Hope this doesn't happen to you, but 50% drop is still better than 97%
