They're mostly used to post to groups or send messages.
I'd suggest you to avoid buying PVA (phone verified accounts). Sooner or later FB will ask you to confirm your account via SMS and you won't have access to phone number. Account will be lost. Get non PVA accounts and verify them with your own sims if possible.
