Hey guys,

I'm using hootsuite to manage all my social media pages. It's really good and I'm happy with it. I came across some articles recently about Facebook edgerank penalising people using hootsuite to post by not showing your posts to more people etc.

Is there any truth behind this?

Thanks.

I think this would be very stupid of FB to do. Unless Hootsuite changed, it's used primarily to schedule posts. It's really popular amongst PR people and busy business owners alike.

It's convenience if anything, not a bot. Have you noticed anything yourself?

I've been very sceptical lately as well, OP. Haven't really tested it with different accounts but it seems my posts reach a lot less people since I've been using Hootsuite...

Any truth to this? I can't see that Facebook would want to punish people who are essentially using Facebook to market.

It seems to me that its not possible because Hootsuite is a really good program :)

My experience for using hootsuite is good. I am using to schedule all social media account and get post published via hootsuite.
