Hey guys, as some of you know I do a lot of PPC, mainly on Facebook. I came across a cool little way to target users that you may not have thought of.

Facebook keeps adding more and more features to the way we can target their users through ads and I really love this one.. Target people on their birthdays!

That's right! I made a simple ad with the title - 'It's Your Birthday!' with the description - 'Click here to receive your free Apple iPad!' then I linked directly to an iPad offer. The trick to my campaign was in the image I used but this is a simple ad that does make bank.

This is what I get when I target US 18+ Whose Birthday is today.

Won't let me put it through without increasing my targeted audience.

there's fewer than 20 people in the US that have a birthday, 18 or older (and are on facebook) in the one day? i find that very unlikely. or am i missing something here? that doesn't sound right!

i realise that wasn't your question (or if there was one), but that's my question. i find that amount of people strange.... there should be a lot more than that!?!?!

Nope that is what I am thinking also. I can't work out why it is showing that to me. I have nothing else selected just age | country | birthday.

I think this is idea from OP and not tested. Because FB not allows free offers rather than cloaking. If they allow free offers and email garbing offers no need to target b'days to make money.

Yep not sure either, I have looked at it 10 times over. There is no reason for it to be showing 20 be here I am. Anyway no big deal was just checking it out don't really plan to use it.

Even i am not finding such option. it was there before but with new facebook broad category feature now you can target audience with birthday < 1 week.

That's what I was wondering. FB is strict as hell with their approval from my experience.

Look at my old posts if you still don't understand. The reach will be wack on Facebook. Think about it though, 750 million active users. They all have birthdays.

My question is how are you targeting facebook traffic on the same date of birthday. I know it was a option there earlier but i cannot find it right now with new interface. There is a category targeting where you can target anyone with birthday < a week.
