Facebook Posts Dying Suddenly

Has anyone else noticed, because of a recent algorithm update in Facebook news feed... I can push a post from 1 million fans, it will take off very quickly then boom. After 400-500 shares in 10 minutes the post will suddenly just die, the post then gets 0 reach and will get 1-5 shares in a hour.. I've noticed this only happens on photos and videos..

I've noticed if I publish 2 posts close together the first post gets almost no reach. What is the time gap between your posts?

I only post once a day on each page.

Interesting... My theory was that after having made my next post that's when Facebook would stop pushing the previous post but it's upsetting that you are experiencing this as well.

Some of my posts that take off extremely well in that first hour still get more throughout the next 2 or so days.

I'm thinking within the first hour depending on if it's getting high reach/engagement Facebook is deciding whether to continue showing to more people or to 'scrap it' essentially.

i think that can happen if you are using an external link in your post .
that's one of the reasons why branding is better nowadays .
