facebook Post engagement to Tab with email submit

There is irony in this post considering how much i have spent on fb, but i cant ask fb reps without knowing whether their answers are real or not.

I am wondering if anyone has ran any website conversions/ page post engagement for email lead gen via a fan page tab?

Curious to see whether this would convert and how much a Cost per email submit would be on facebook compared to off facebook.
