Maxbounty just pushed a update that allows you to place your Facebook pixel to any offer thank you page or the page where the conversion fires. In theory it’s awesome and game changer as we will be finally be able to season the pixel and tell Facebook to optimize for conversions. But there is an issue: Appatently the pixel is being executed server side, so instead of the user browser to execute, its their callback server. So I’m a little confused here and I would like to hear you guys opinion: So If the server is executing the pixel, it’s a little pointless, seeing that Facebook won’t know who the user was at all, right? I verified on my dashboard and the actions are being tracked properly but I have this feeling that it’s not matching to any user at all because i fail to see how it would match to the user who converted. So I believe a work around would be offline conversions or send a hash to Facebook pixel starting from my website , so I can tag them and when the server execute the pixel it sends the user hash so it can match to the user. Any thoughts on this?
