Facebook page reach is determined by URL?

Hi.

I have been looking into reach recently and it seems that some URL's appear to be 'verified' and constantly get good reach. I share my Facebook page with someone who has a verified page for their main URL. They constantly get 60k-200k reach on the pages we share, yet my reach never goes above 40k regardless of how many times I change to a different URL.

Before the recent reach updates, our reach used to be the same. Does anybody know whether it could be due to a domain being 'whitelisted' by Facebook or does it now depend on how 'old' a domain is as Facebook may consider that higher quality.

The reach is determined by how many people interact with the posts, the more people that interact the more reach the next post has. If your page has lots of fake accounts then you will find you have a crappy reach

He's talking about edgerank, affinity/content weight/time decay, but as a term its been pretty much depreciated for years.

Apparently the new parameters on if a story gets displayed on a newsfeed depends on over 100,000 factors...

I don't agree, what I'm saying is my business partner always get 5x reach on the same page that we share. I can post something that gets 100 likes but the reach still caps at 20k whilst something he posts may get 200k reach with 50 likes.

I always used to get the best reach prior to recent reach update because I used to constantly change the URL to bypass the algorithms. This doesn't seem to work any more.

Hi, I exactly did the same and had a very good reach, I used to constantly change the URL to bypass the algorithms, and now I think they patched this 2 weeks ago. Hope I will find a solution to get that reach again.
