I've ran into an interesting situation with my client and really need some opinions from the Facebook Experts on here.

Their company name goes as follows (real name changed to protect them).. "my company".

The person created the facebook page with the name "mycompany" so that when someone types in the actual name it doesn't show up in the facebook search engine.

One of the owners wrote down that he works at my company so since facebook didn't find it... they created a listing called "my company" but none of them are admins for it.

What should they do next?

Obviously the page is already created but how does one become and admin for it?

Also is there a way to SEO the original one so that it shows up for both "mycompany" and "my company" in the facebook search engine?

Thanks in advance,

Tom

Heres the deal, you can change the name if the facebook page has 100 people and below. If the page has 115, im sure it wouldnt hurt that much if you just deleted the 15 people. If the page is in the thousands likes, then what I would do is contact facebook, somewhere in the help section, and tell them you would like to change the name of the business.

Furthermore, my aunt had a page already created for her by facebook for her restaurant. I remember I claimed the page by clicking somewhere, they had to contact the business phone number and give me a pin in order for me to claim it. Just like google places.
