Facebook Page Losing Likes With Every Post

I have a Facebook page with 200K+ fans on it. However, every time I post a picture, I lose likes on the page around 100 per day. I left the page alone for a few years so I have been trying to get some life back into it. I post every 2 hours for the last 8-10 days. For the first few days of the page "revival" the reach went through the roof. Now the reach is small (50K to 5K on average). The number of likes I've lost is probably around 2K. It seems as the page is going less people are unliking...

So my question to you is, should I continue to keep posting funny pictures (in order to make an omelette, gotta crack some eggs mentality)? Or do I need to stop and re-think my strategy?

If the page stayed for a few years without any update on it, this kind of user comportment is totally normal. You can't really avoid it. back in the time, people used to like tons of pages without any logic or reason. Now they're trying to clean their timeline and only keep relevant stuff or things theyr are interested in.

I had a page in 2008 with about 760k likes. Started posting on it again by september 2012, today the page only has 440K likes "left". Thats a hug loss but you have to consider the people keeping this page in their timeline.

Keep posting funny pictures, or if your page is related to any niche with products you can sell, think about it.

Thanks for the feedback and good to know. Yes the niche will be useful for future products, so it is worthwhile to salvage. You able to get people going to the page? As long as there is a healthy ratio of active people (or at least growing number of active people), I think it may be fine to lose those uninterested fans?

What would you say is a good ratio of active users to fans? 2%? 20%?

I think that the active ratio users are less than 1%, because of the Facebook reach updates.

Keep diversifying. Try to engage your audience when you post. Like question on pictures or whatever. make them active. Every like or comment you get will increase the reach % of your posts.
