Facebook page followers/subscribers? i'm lost

Can someone tell me about pages created on facebook and followers for those created pages?

i created with my personal FB account a business page for my business ;-) Now i know how to use and abuse the likes.... but how the %^$#%^# do people know when i post a new FB post on my page? I see i can let ppl follow my personal account ....? what, why... what? So i need to let ppl follow my personal name and that way they get notifications about new posts? That can't be right.
Or is a like the same as a follow? lol..... i'm lost


edit: Fans.... ? Now i see they get notifications below the like buttun after hover the mouse.... i assume that is how ppl can follow pages? There is no list where i can see how many followers/fans i have? I'm still confused... thanks FB for the great support pages....

So you have a facebook page and you want people to be notified once you post something? Doesn't facebook put like a 1 or something else when you do something to the page?

i see no "1" when i post on FB. i have liked a lot of pages with my account and never get a notification about new posts... (maybe my settings.... or the "fans" needs to click a 2nd time to get the notifications (see my post1 edit))

i now know: fans = likes
i just want to know how to get the most out of my facebook page. If i just post without someone who will see the posts... it will be useless... So the more likes.... the more change i have someone will click the notify option? Or do i need to let ppl follow my personal username,,,, that just sounds wrong.

Whatever you were talking about, your questions were never clear. Also if your page have got for example 1000 fans, you cannot expect 100 likes each time you post a new post. If you get around 150-200 likes, you are very lucky to get a good number of active fans.
