I'm going to straight up tell you, exactly 19 days ago I didn't know jack about facebook, how to use it or anything! I have never had a facebook account before 19 days ago. A few days before creating this one account I read up a few sketchy short manuals on the raw basics of how facebook works. Like adding and requesting friends, writing post. Everything else I have been learning as I go. I went in with a basic plan which I assume would take well over 6 months to reach a goal I had in mind.
So when I started there were stretches of days I hadn't logged onto the account. Until this past week when I had nothing to do so I decided to get more involved. I don't really know how to explain if but the last few days I have been getting a non stop bombardment of friend request from mostly real people and some fake accounts mixed in.
Let me tell you man, or whoever is reading this. Yesterday I went out for 3 hours shopping and when I came back home to look up my facebook profile I had so many friend request I knew for a fact my had would be to tired to accept all those request so now I simply have stopped befriending people who make these request instead just allow them to follow my profile. The same thing happen the night before when I awoke in the morning and it just keeps getting stronger to the point that I'm overwhelmed.
I didn't use programs, didn't post a hot sexy girl as my profile pic, nothing like that. I didn't do NOTHING!
Instead I used my personal trade secret skills to help unlock the secrets of facebook.
I mean right now as I type this I've received nearly 200 request and I'm not even half way through writing this post. I'm even having a hard time writing this due to the continued little boxes that keeps popping up at the lower right side of the screen informing me of friend request notices. Try surfing the web with that thing, it's annoying.
But this isn't THAT kind of thread.
Actually I have a whole load of questions that I'm confused about when it comes to facebook.
I found out that I don't have to befriend these people that make friend request. But they follow my profile anyway just by them making such request. I know 1 profile is limited to 5000 friends.
I'm not sure if I should convert this profile into a page account. I've heard that with a page account it can run a business on facebook without worrying about getting banned if I did the same using a profile account?
But if I convert my profile account to a page will I lose all those current followers that I haven't befriended?
I don't even totally understand how pages works. I heard you can request strangers to like the page only if they liked a post within it? I heard you can't message people directly but only invite them to a conversion. What I'm been hearing so far it seems that pages have a lot of draw backs.
Plus I know about the like invite button that comes along with pages but from my understanding with facebook. If you have over 100,000 likes on a page it converts back to sending friends request which I don't understand this answer?
The whole point of me creating this facebook account is to make money. If I can't make a business out of a profile account than I will have to switch to a page?
