A lot of pages I handle and for a lot of brands on Facebook, the reach and the number of fans engaged has decreased over the past week.Facebook rolled out a new algorithm update. This means the following.
1)High Quality Content (Articles from Brands) will get more prominence.
2)Memes will be pushed away.
3)Links will work more. FB now shows suggested articles from same page/site when you click on one their article.
4)Paid + Organic reach is the way to go. Only organic reach will not take you anywhere.
This is what comes to my mind. I read the article on my phone, so will post the source later but it was all over edgerank, allfacebook etc. Feel free to post a link if you can.
The question is Are FB updates equally relevant as Google updates?
