Facebook Marketplace Question

Hi all

For a few months now I have been selling alot of items on facebook marketplace but all of a sudden anything i post in marketplace has no views which at first was odd since i was getting lots of views within seconds, i used another profile to check my ads and the ad showed a message below my ad stating "not publicy posted in marketplace" (ad only showed because i posted it in groups) whereas fb lets me create an ad and post it in marketplace without any issue but the ad will not show in marketplace while fb lets me believe it has been posted.

I use the fb app, i used a few profiles and they all have the same issue, i even took new pics and changed description of the ads which did not help, i therefore assumed fb may have blocked my imei number from posting ads and i brought a new phone and tried posting ads via the new mobile phone through another profile which also did not work, i assumed maybe its down to my wifi IP and used a free VPN app which also did not help, how is fb able to block my ads from going live on marketplace?? Any ideas please?

So you suspect it's your own WiFi, how about changing SIM cards or try using on another WiFi and see if there's any improvement.

Hi, yes i tried changing the images by taking brand new fresh pics on a different phone which did not help also i removed the exif data from the old pics which also did not help.

Hi, i do suspect it to be down to my wifi, i did use a VPN to mask my ip but it did not solve the matter.
 
Either wait for it to renew. IF that doesn't work, then delete all and post again. If that doesn't work, wait a week and then post again, and then wait for it to renew and renew it. That should work.

Also, you can try to get another account.
 
any luck with this, i now know they blacklist accounts from posting ads on the marketplace, any idea how to get around it?

I had to make a new account and wait a few months to use it which unlocks marketplace, but if u are getting low views or no views thn try deleting all your ads and leaving every group you have joined, this to some degrees solves the ad view problem.

can i ask how does marketplace work?

do the ads get displayed on peoples newsfeeds and they view it?

or do they have to search in the marketplace and view it then?

im under the impression these marketplace ads get posted on newsfeeds?

If you don't mind me asking how did you activate marketplace . I lost my personal account for market place so I am trying to get a new one . Thank you for your help in advance :)

i think if you try post in your publice profil or in group of sales they will activate the marketplace but not sure

changing the city/town must be working
