I posted an video ad targeting businesses makers/owners in the US. 90% of all direct messages were people miss clicking and Facebook auto responder from my end automatically sending a message.

Felt more like Facebook baiting people into clicking the message button to have me send an automated message to charge me that message fee. Anyone else have this problem?

That’s interesting, Facebook probably knows about autoresponders but left it alone on purpose to generate revenue like you said. Battle the corporation, see if you can adjust your autoresponder to only respond to actual messages somehow.

Well, it was interesting. Just if they clicked on the Ad. I would automatically send a message.

If that is the case, it's better to analyze ones ads targeting and messaging to ensure it reaches the right audience and also reviews the ad's call- to -action to attract relevant leads

I think there are actual customers who are interested in your services, but try to make the content more engaging and see if it works.

Efficient automated marketing tools can fully achieve this

You probably have some error on the ads at least that's what I can think of.

People were clicking on the video ad but were hitting the message button. Facebook set a default message to be sent when they clicked message.

Messaging ads often have this scenario where people are misclicking and starting a conversation with you/your brand. They have a specific use and tricks to lower those misclick conversations. Hire a professional to help you out.
