Facebook Links Keep Getting Ghosted

Will the reach of the links go back to normal in time if we follow facebook's new guidelines? That is the question. I don't think it's fair to not receive and warning or notification about this or for it to be permanent
 
Also in the article it says that Facebook will be only giving lower prominence to link posts that they consider spam. Not completely ghosting them. I can't imagine ghosting like this is permanent
 
the domain age plays a big role as well. I can spam with multiple accounts because my domain is old & i know they will never ban it because if thats the case i will just ban my competitors links.
 
True, what do you think about the ghost banning of links? In the article it says the will deprioritze the reach of spam links not completely ghost links altogether. Have you or anyone else experienced ghostbanning of links?
 
Facebook said the change would reduce the influence of a "tiny group" of people it has identified who share vast amounts of low-quality public posts daily. Only about 0.1% of people who share more than 50 posts a day would be affected.

The change would affect only links shared by those people, not their photos or other posts, the company said.

Exactly. I wasn't ever posting more 12 a day. Never close to 50 and with that update they only said they would be reducing the influence, not completely ghosting. I think this is something different and similar to the link sharing block, hopefully temporary. What do you think? Were you ever posting 50 or more links a day?
 
In a recent Facebook thread I was talking about ghostbanning with someone else and they said that it can last anywhere from 24 hours to 30 days and they never received a message or notification about it either
 
Does anyone have any updates with their pages where links have been ghosted?
 
Don't panic, I've had the same problem before - can you PM me the link you are trying to post on fb? I'll tell you what the problem is.

Yeah they released an update recently and found out some major limiting changes..

I could no longer manipulate open graph tags on my site and change the url visual look..

This happened a week after I was vigorously testing and messing with meta tags & found out how to link gifs to urls then meta refresh on my site to external URL.. basically a normal link post with share image and call to action (using power editor), but instead of an image (JPG, PNG), I made it an animated GIF which made it look like a video playing in the feed without sound, which once clicked would go to my site.. now the gif plays in the facebook feed as video WTF..
 
Its same, I can post links but with zero reach and no new likes on page... :(
