I have no idea where to ask this and I figured it had something to do with Social Networking so I decided this could be the best place.

I have a website that has quite a high number for the facebook like button and I'm about to switch my hosting. My question is will this effect the amount of likes I've accumulated on the site (will it reset)? Or will the button stay at the same number/is it directly related to the website.

As well same kind of topic, I have a high number for my stumbleupons badge as well. Will that reset too when switching?

Sorry if it's a little hard to understand, wasn't sure exactly how to word it but figured someone here might have experience.

    Thanks.

I don't see how this would affect your likes etc as those elements are not tied to a 'host' but your domain instead so once your domain has propagated to the new DNS, all related Likes etc. will follow.

That was my thought, my thoughts is that the facebook like button count is all just the code so as long as I don't remove that part from my page I should be fine but I'm just nervous to go through with it.
