I’ve recently noticed that nearly 90% of ad accounts are being flagged by Facebook with the "273" automation error; has anyone else experienced this?

That wording makes it sound like the system is detecting activity as automated, even when the account itself may be fine definitely looks like something worth appealing.

That's right; Facebook is currently blocking a lot of accounts of this type.
likely that the ad account provider's methods are either outdated or the operation is compromised
That's not the case, my friend; these accounts always fully comply with everything but still get locked.

I've seen people reporting similar restrictions, so there's some truth to that. Looks like 273 might be more of a restriction/review sort of affair rather than an actual "automation error" code.
The message itself is pretty crystal clear that Meta's system thinks there's automated or inauthentic activity involved. If these are actually genuinely normal accounts, then it's very likely the usual false-positive issue or a change in how Meta's automated review works. You never really know with Meta these days.

it seems like the system may have interpreted some activity as unusual. Checking the details and submitting an appeal could be the best next step.

In recent weeks, Facebook has been scanning advertising accounts—particularly Business Manager (BM) accounts—so this situation is currently normal.

Many of my accounts are experiencing this issue.
Facebook locked the account without any reason.

That's right, this has been going on for two weeks now.
We have submitted appeals; however, some accounts have been permanently suspended.

However, we fully complied with the policies, yet Facebook locked the account in a baffling manner.

Recently, there have been many unexplained account suspensions. I think things will be better next week because I'm seeing signs of recovery for accounts that have been successfully appealed.
