Facebook is ignoring the Invite button from post likes

When a post goes viral, lots of people share your post to people who don't yet like your page.

So Facebook made a "Invite" button available so you could invite those people to like your page too, since they liked your post they might like the rest of your page.

Well last year people started getting "invite a friend" buttons after inviting say 100 people.

Facebook was limiting the invites because of course Zuckerberg wants your every penny: they want you to buy ads and spend money.

So they removed the limitation and the "invite friend" button stopped showing.

Facebook is really nice and cool and money's not all they want after all, right?!

WRONG.

The invite button now simply is ignored after a 10 or 20 invites. You can click them all, you're just wasting your time.

How do you verify this?

Log in from another account and like the post, preferrably from a different connection, a phone perhaps, or a friend's legit FB. Set this up with a friend while you chat on Skype, Whatsapp or something.

Go back to your page now. Invite this friend to like your page from the likes list.

They won't receive the invite. Tried from several accounts across several locations and got 2 friends from abroad to test with me. Nobody got the invite.

Everyone is just working for Facebook for free, they give you no breaks. Everything is paid. Guess most of you knew this, but in case you didn't , clicking that invite button is just placebo.

That's pretty shitty as far as placebos go.

I prefer sugar pills. At least I know they work for me.

Maybe depend of how big is your fan page.
I just started new Fan Page.
Budget $1 daily, Target USA ( Boost Post ) and usually I am getting 40-75 invites accepted (daily).

Doesn't surprise me in the slightest.

Ok so I just tested this out and here's the results (OP, I hope you've posted this seeking some kind of an answer... If you know what I mean):

- Boosted a post, reached about 600+ likes/reaction.
- Invited around 150. No warning or any kind of message popped up.
- Some people started to accept the invitation, and liked the page.
- Now, I asked 5 close friends and family members to go and like a post
- I invited them afterward.
- Asked them to check their notification, all of the invitation were in place. (Reminder, those were after the 100 first invitation)
- They accepted it and the process went smoothly.

The verdict: There's nothing as to what the OP claim, my theory is that FB is penalizing you for some action you've took. I've invited around 105 people and seemingly all of the invitation were sent.

Your take, people?

Facebook may do this is your conversion rate is so low.
For ex. you invited 1k people and only 10 of them accepted it, if some sort of this has happened, as stated in their help docs " System "thinks" it is spam "

Don't you have to pay to boost a post?

In which case your test doesn't even apply. Try doing the invite without boosting a post and then come back and tell us the result.

Reason being if you pay to do something, of course FB is going to allow you to send as many invites as you want. You paid for it.

You did all that in just 2.5 hours on a sunday? How did you check that the 105 invitations did go?

You corrected "misleading typos" on this post? What did you edit out after you posted? Some number that wasn't credible enough?

Excuse me but I have trouble finding any credibility in this "report" of yours.

I'd like to hear other more credible experiences if they can confirm this?

Yah this is a more plausible explanation. Would there be a way to check the invite conversion rate?

As far as I know there isn't a way to check that. Also an advice which worked for me, try sending invites from different fb accounts, don't use the same one all the time.

Also you shouldn't send all of them in a short time, I think it's better to take a pause every 100 invites.

Let's tackle each problem one by one.

Sunday means nothing for my niche, most of the countries I target have sunday as a business day not a weekend. I confirmed the invitations with duh... people start accepting it and like the page.
To clarify more, I didn't boost after I saw this topic, this was running since morning.

You really want to know? OK, I typed EVERY "invitation" as "invention", hence why it could be freaking misleading and funny. Numbers? Duh! Ask a mod/admin if you're really curious about the content of the previous version of my post.

Fine, here I'm clarified more things, hope you'll find it "credible" now.

I have to admit it tho, as I said above in response to @alwaysinvisible the thought of "being pay to boost" never crossed my mind since I found an already boosted post with bunch of likes and reactions, so I used them, and I can't guarantee that I invited organic "liker". So we are free for more reports I guess.

That's all I can say, I'll stand with my point.

105 invitation, they were accepted as well.
I witnessed 5 invitation being sent after about 100 invitation.

I recently sold off all of my Facebook assets (accounts, ad based accounts, what have you), and I'm glad. Eventually you just start feeling like a guinea pig for Zuckerburg because he has fucking a room of coders to sit there and mess with my bankroll.

I don't have a personal account, but if I did, I'd deactivate it and use Twitter.

@ArtOfVaw Will take your post at face value. Something's wrong with my conversion for those invites then and I've got to find out.

if you exceed the max limit you can invite daily yeah you can press invite and thr invite wont actually invite but refreah the page and the invite button ia still there
it's just a bug on facebook

Well, this just pushes people to create content that is WORTH SHARING from their FB page

When your fans share such content, the LIKE PAGE button appears with this share...

This ORGANIC viral method is the way to go

Sure, it may seem slower but if you use the right content, you're good to go

Here are my results. Invited 20 last night. Today the option to invite has been removed.

Has the invite button for post likers disappeared for anyone else? It just disappeared for me around the same time my page hit 100k likes... and I'm wondering if its a coincidence, related to being 100k, if it happened for anyon else else, etc...

Now the invite button has been replaced with "Add Friend" button, which is related to my personal account which manages the page.

My invite button has been replaced with ban button. But also before I also noticed add friend button instead of invite. My pages are nowhere near 100k.
