I am testing some products with Facebook , suddenly I see 2 website purchases on Facebook but in website no purchases,
Is this bug or what? I feel like someone open order "Thank you " page and Facebook counted as website conversion.
would love to know your thoughts on it
And ya, sorry for my Great english :p

Isn't there a way for people to fire up a purchase without actually purchasing?

Might be fb or it might be a competitor. :P

Yes but when i get duplicate error the shopper is from facebook. I got one purchase but facebook shows as two.

That problem happened a long time ago. that's because new iOS updates make the Pixels no longer work properly. fb reported that there were 6 purchases but actually no purchases were recorded

Has this been fixed? Is this related to do not track feature in iOS?

Did you have sales previously? If so, it's likely you are seeing the sales being attributed to the campaign later. FB Purchases (or any other events) aren't reported on the ads manager immediately if it's an iOS device and can take up to 3 days to show up. This is why they now suggest to test your ads for a bit longer than 3 days (4-7 days now to give them time to attribute the events over time).

For example, you may have made 3 sales yesterday but nothing in your reporting on that day. Then you load up the ads manager the next day with no sales so far but see in your report you made 3 sales.

If you had no sales in the past 7 days then something is triggering the event, so it's how you've installed the pixel/CAPI.

Interesting, because back in my e-commerce days, this is exactly what happened to me, as well. No iOS updates, no nothing like it's now. I had this same issue about 4 years ago or so.

It can be related to IOS update, general misfiring or something that Facebook wrote about today.. https://about.fb.com/news/2021/08/privacy-enhancing-technologies-and-ads/

"Differential privacy works by including carefully calculated “noise” to a dataset. For example, if 118 people bought a product after clicking on an ad, a differentially private system would add or subtract a random amount from that number. So instead of 118, someone using that system would see a number like 120 or 114. "

Hi! most likely, the problem is with iOS updates. displaying purchases on Facebook in the ad manager now takes longer.
