Most popular social networking website, Facebook has just beaten Google and it is now ranked number one in Alexa ranking, which means people are viewing more pageviews on Facebook than Google. Alexa ranks website according to their daily traffic. Google.com is now ranked number 2.

Amount of views on google per use:
1 if using a search bar in browser
2 if going to the homepage

Amount of views on facebook per use:
Probably 10, if not 20-30.

Additionally the statistics are skewed as they're not monitoring all internet traffic. They require a toolbar and very few networks allow alexa access to browsing information. It's similar to doing a survey on who eats fast food and then saying "we can only get this information from people aged 50-60" then saying that that age group eats the most fast food when only a small sample was taken.

Alexa = shit. Only real use is boosting your epeen from some crappy stats.

Alexa's numbers are not accurate. It just means it is the most viewed website amongst Alexa Toolbar users.

People no longer need to type Facebook on Google search when they can do that directly on the address bar regardless where they come from or whether they understand English or not. Not only that, most of us have FB as our home page even in our phones
