Facebook International Offers Help

Hey guys,

I am trying to advertise international offers on FaceBook and I normally direct link. When I direct link to offers outside of the US, the FB ad team cannot see it because they get redirected to something else. For example, if I am trying to advertise Eharmony in Australia and direct link it, when the FB team clicks on it, they get linked to somewhere else. Is there Some type of script or whatever here that anybody knows of that can fix this?

This is tricky. The typical solution is to set up a redirect to the US equivalent of the offer if the click originates within the US and to the AU version if the click originates within Australia.

If you use tracking software, your tracker might be able to do this for you.

I don't think it can be done through direct linking, unless the network you use is smart about their redirects and automatically directs US traffic to the equivalent US offer. Do you have a domain you can redirect through?

Ill look into tracking202 or something =) What do you mean by redirecting through a domain? Wouldn't it have the same effect if I were to use a domain redirect?

Yup, that's basically what I meant by domain redirect. So let's say you do your tracking from mytrackingdomain.com. Then you would input your link on the facebook ad as mytrackingdomain.com/?offer=EHarmony or however you have it set up, and the script at that location would redirect to either the US or AU version of the offer depending on the originating IP of the click.

Again, I would suggest looking into tracking software that should be able to do this for you - makes things easier in the long run.
