Facebook identity confirmation when commenting

Anyone got this? I've heard rumors that we need to use KYC for facebook. Is this the beginning? I can't comment on facebook groups anymore if I dont verify my phone :(

It'll be useful to see if more people start reporting the same thing as that sould make it clear whether this a wider rolout just affecting certain account. I haven't run into this my account yet.
 
Yeah, Meta is pushing identity verification much harder now, but it's not rolled out to 100% of accounts yet. They're mostly targeting accounts with suspicious activity, weak IP history, or unverified phone numbers.
For groups, admins can also enable strict member requirements

Yes, facebook is increasing security checks and may request phone or ID Verification. However, there is no official mandatory KYC policy for all users. These prompts are typically triggered by anti-spam systems, AI moderation, or specific group settings.
 
Yes, Facebook's algorithm has recently been stepping up its efforts to verify the identities of accounts showing unusual activity. I think it will become even stricter from now on.
 
I haven't encountered this situation yet, but I think this requirement will sooner or later be rolled out to all accounts.

It's just standard spam triggers, not full KYC fb forces phone verification when your account acts too fast or uses a flagged IP. just verify with a cheap virtual SIM or physical number, then let the account rest for a few days to get your commenting access back
 
And sending your id to meta is a bad thing because what exactly?

If you've got a black hat business id understand it tho.
 
I've yet to see this from a simple comment..... but I've had many accounts randomly lock myself out where I can never get back in because they want me to upload an ID after going full throttle for a year or 2
 
I still don't see anything new happening to my account as you said. But maybe, it might be applied soon.

yes, I have seen random checks taking place now, but it is not really KYC for everyone. It look like mostly random check happen becuz,of the activity in an account.

yea, what's thing u use to verify your account? I mean when you create one?
i use my phone number, so no need to verify again
 
I've been seeing more people run into this recently feels like Facebook is just getting a lot stricter with account checks.
