how long does fb hold your money for. i had it for about a week and i haven't gotten a refund yet, is that ok

I had this happen before usually it’s either a billing issue or Facebook putting the payment on review. Try changing the payment method or creating a fresh campaign; sometimes the hold clears after 24 48h.

yeah a week hold still within the normal range bro. fb sometimes delays clearing even up to 10–14 days if billing profile is new or spend jumps fast. if setup is solid it usually releases by itself. you running this on fresh BM or something aged?

May be performing undelivered ads. You should check the status browser, targeting is too narrow, budget or schedule overlaps

You need to expand your detailed targeting audience, double check your payment cards, and use ad accounts that have a spending history
 
The money will be returned when you do not spend on advertising, don't worry you just need to keep the payment threshold small it will not affect
 
This account hold is a common feature, try to find yourself a clean IP and have a strong account, it will minimize that problem.

holding money is more like a "feature" from FB. You can just add new payment methods then create new clean ads, approve the hold and wait for better results.
 
you mean your campaign is active but no spending, right? i think you can create a new camp to warm up account first and change fanpage
 
The reason may be that your campaign is in paused or ended status, you need to Check your daily budget or total budget to make sure it is large enough for the ad to run.

Check your card/account, add a backup payment method, see if your spending threshold is met, and contact support if the campaign is still holding the money without deducting the cost.
 
I also encountered this situation, running but the money is not spent. It seems that Facebook holds it back during approval or the target is too narrow. I tried creating a new ad set and it was more promising, sometimes it works, sometimes it still gets stuck.

That usually happens when the campaign is under review or flagged. Try changing the ad copy/creative, or set up a fresh campaign — sometimes it unlocks after a few tweaks.
 
It could be your payment card, this happens quite often so don't worry too much.
