The ad campaign is holding money and after running, no money is spent. Do you have any solution for this problem?

This usually happens when something in the ad account isn’t cleared to spend. Common causes:
-Payment method issue → card or account not verified/declined.
-Ad review → ads still under review or rejected.
-Account status → limits or restrictions on the ad account.
-Budget/bidding setup → too low, audience too narrow, or campaign paused.
Check your Billing & Payment Settings, confirm the card works, and review the Account Quality tab. If everything looks fine but spend still doesn’t start, contact Meta Ads Support through Business Help Center.
Want me to give you a quick checklist to test where the block is?

you can test with new ad account, new payment method, new website, etc

sometimes billing addresses are an issue due to card issue place/country

Hello, if your Facebook campaign keeps money but doesn't spend it, it may be because the ad hasn't been distributed yet. You should check the approval status, the target is too narrow, the budget is low, or the schedule is overlapping. In addition, the account may be limited in distribution, the fanpage or personal profile is restricted. You should contact Meta Support for further inspection.

turn off the old ad, then add a new payment method and then recreate a new ad, this will help the account collect the hold

This can sometimes happen if the payment method is under review, the audience targeting is too narrow, or the ad is stuck in a learning/approval delay.

This is usually because Facebook is suspicious of your payment method or campaign configuration. You can try double-checking your card, making sure it matches your account country, then duplicate and relaunch your campaign.

It could be that your campaign has not been fully delivered or your account is partially restricted.
Try turning off that campaign, testing with a new campaign and changing the payment card. If the problem is not with the payment card, you can change small issues in the campaign (user target, region, maybe the campaign running time frame, ....) to find the cause.
Wish you success soon on Facebook!

fb hold money is common bro, usually risk check or billing trust issue, clears after few days if setup is solid. curious tho, u guys see it happen more on new bms or even aged ones?

I also encountered the same case, and through monitoring I saw that when the campaign is turned off and inactive for about 2 to 3 days, meta will refund that hold amount

Sometimes campaigns get stuck in a ‘hold’ status if the account is still under review or the billing cycle hasn’t cleared properly.

with these error accounts are very picky about campaigns. not every campaign can be set up and spend on it. try different campaigns to test again.

I'm new to running ads so I haven't encountered this situation yet. I also want to hear more experiences from everyone to know how to handle it when it happens.

The solution is to expand your targeting, review your creative/policies, and let the campaign run for a few days. If it still doesn't work, it's best to create a new campaign instead of trying to tweak the old one.

I launched a campaign yesterday, the budget shows as reserved, but so far no money has been spent. I’ve now found a solution for my campaign

I don't understand what's going on, you still have the campaign but the account is not spending right?

That means even though you don't get charged, your campaign will still run ads during the time period you selected, right? That's good for you, right?

There is problem with your ads campaign, also its depended on lots of other factor:
1. Ad campaign issue
2. New Ads Account
3. Campaign not setup properly
4. Account Verification needed
5. Find out error on your account
6. Under review by internal team
