Can someone help me to understand this or suggest a better way to achieve this?

I see lots of people selling invites/status updates on Fiverr. I am thinking buying one of these but rather than having my own Facebook page can I ask the person to post a link to my website. Does this work? Or Facebook Ads work better for linking to my own sites.

I am not 100% sure what "statu update" means or "invite" means.

Thanks for the info. I didn't know that they sell status updates or invites in fiverr.

You can only buy status updates to your own website because it's not possible to send invites in facebook to external pages (you can buy invites only for fb pages, fb groups, fb events or fb applications).
Invites means ---> a person logs into his/her account and sends invites to fb page.
Status update means ---> a person who owns a facebook page will post a status update to all people who have clicked Like on his page. It will be seen in the person's news feed.
