FACEBOOK help!!! question needed answer asap!

Okay so i just built a fan page ...and i have a few questions on fbml

Okay im doing the normal "step 1" join "step2" invite your friends" step 3 you now qualify ..
now i have all that set up but this is what i want to do

on step 1 want the traffic to be able to click on step one which will take them to the join page! and wont let them continue to step 2 ..how do i do this?

then in step 2 i want them to see a pop up that lets them understand how to invite all there friends ..how do i do this??

okay i figured out how to hide the steps....but how do i add a "become a fan " button?
