Hello guys!

I have some pages which have decent of followers. Almost of my normal posts get a lot of engagements (hundreds to thousands).

But sometimes I insert a link to a post to monetize my page (rarely), even the image I used in post is same with others nomal post but the engagement is super low.

So should I leave the promotional link to the first comment then ask visitor to check out the comment?

Thank you

Yes also you can try this.
On the image add a short domain name and ask people to go there.
Like of you are promoting cheesecake buy a domain called
Tryck.com
Redirect it to you promo link ar the domain registrar or add it to a cpanel and redirect it there.
You can buy a common domain, or specific domain, .com or any other cheap tld.
Test which gets more clicks and conversion.

Sure, when you do that, most Facebook will spam articles with access links

Yeah Facebook doesn't want people to go off-site unless you're paying.

So just post the link in the comment section.

Yes, the platform usually provides advertising tools and support for businesses to reach their target audience, so if you don't pay then inserting advertising links directly into the post can affect post engagement.
You should put the advertising link in the first comment

Just change the link briefly and attach it to the end of the content, it does not affect your campaign

that's right, fb will limit the distribution of your post when you leave a link there, you should leave your link in the comment section and pin it up

That happened to me too and I figured Facebook doesn’t like it. Posts with promotional links always get less engagement so now I post the link in the first comment instead of in the main post.

Try it out, this way you can avoid being scanned and probably won't reduce the post's interaction

Don't worry and it's simple.
Post your target link as a comments for reply to other user of Facebook and you will see the results is amazing.

You should attach the link below the comment to avoid being scanned by Facebook, and this will stimulate viewers' curiosity, instead of them just scrolling through it.

Heads up! Fb buries posts with links. Share your link in a comment and pin it to get more eyes on it.

So, instagram alghoritm is made this way, he doesnt like if users leave an application after watching your video. So probably try putting link in your bio so they can click on that while they are in application. And tell them to check link in your bio.

Yes, it true. It's prohibited on Facebook. Use the comment section or watermark the image with your domain.

Yes, sometimes it causes discomfort
