Facebook groups - growth hacking - how?

Hello guys,

I am wondering if there is an 'easy' way to capitalize on Facebook groups. I read a lot of stuff about bringing value, promoting group in other channels, moderating it, etc.

However, are there any other tips/hacks that can help with fast growing your group? What decides if group appears in search results when you type in a keyword? How to get first 100/1000 people in group without spending hours and hours on 'promoting it' and if you do not have (or can't use) other channels?

Are there any sources of information regarding that matter? Or maybe FB groups are not worth it and it is a waste of time?

How long did it take you to build an audience and were you able to monetize it?

Grow your page by posting content and sharing to groups in your niche. Start your own group with your page. Invite people that like your page into your group.

Paid way: boost high quality posts on your page and on said post promote the group.

There are gurus charging a ton of money for what I just told you lol.
