Facebook Groups are trash...

Facebook groups are still good it's just that you do not know how to keep the community engaging

I use to do about 1 million page views daily from Facebook groups less than 10k now. It's trash

Do you mean your own Facebook group or Facebook Groups owned by others? I do not own any facebook groups but it is very difficult to make money from public or private groups nowadays as it has become difficult sharing links in them as your posts will become ghosted. If anyone knows of a way to go around this please share.

Anyone still using Facebook groups? Why is it trash now...

It will never ever be trash. There's are ton's of closed groups. With good content, you can definitely make some money from there.

I can report the same here. I did 700 shares to different groups (almost all 1000+ members) and I didn't see any results.
Looks like there is some special sauce that I don't know about.
Going to try comments. Maybe that will work more effectively

Would you mine sharing how you make money from closed groups? How do you get access to these groups if they are closed?

I post related content on group pages. I engage, ask questions and very active. The reach on group members has reduced drastically in the past 60 days.

Interestingly, this happened 1 year ago. As well. Perhaps testing. Im not sure.

Spamming links? I mean, faceboook won't let you keep steal their traffic forever. You can build some funnel but if you just spam, it ain't no way to make money.
You need to spam the smart way. Of course people like spam, otherwise there would be no ads. But facebook algo doesn't like the type of spam that isn't called other way than "fb ads".
You can play your cards the way you want. Get likes, get engaging content. But you have to make it in a small environment. Not on 300 groups cause you are guaranteed to create a process that is based on your imagination and not verified data.

I totally agree with you.
The only reason possible for the traffic not to come after 700 shares is FB post ghosting. I can see that maybe 80-90% of the created FB groups are dead. So choosing the right ones is also very important.
But what I know for sure is that big numbers tend to give conversions anyway.
That's why spam is effective if you are able to perform it while keeping sure the audience is not throwing up from your ads.
That's why I am saying that if we see a post that is already gaining some likes, comments, engaging, and ofc somehow about your niche, it might be a good idea to do the comment trick.
For example link with the offer on your profile page + commenting "running a giveaway! link on my profile page" + boosting the comments engagement in order to place the comment into the TOP list, so that it gets more views.

It's a super simple funnel. Think of big marketing and sales funnels. Think about the future. Think about gathering data and using it for many years.
Take this stuff seriously if you want to make a living.

I think you don't check the good metrics if you say is trash, I have my strats with fb groups and it works great if the group has engagement and is not spammed to death... If the group has posts with a lot of comments, it means it's an engaging group and if you don't have the same engagement as others it means your content is not as interesting and you should change that in the first place instead of saying they are trash.

Maybe your content is trash or maybe you don't target good enough. FB groups are a communication channel like another if you know what you are doing...

PS: groups are great and you can have a lot of awareness and conversions.

Me too. Facebook groups are real trash. However much I spam my links, I don't get any click. I am.nolonger wasting my time on FB

Stop wasting your time on marketing cause you'll find the same with different media.

A poor engaged group is trash for sure but a good engaged group is not trash.
There are a lot people who does a living by maintaining FB groups. :)

Actually was getting really good engagement 100 comments + on some of the posts w/link. Something has changed with FB groups in past 45 days. And its trash...
