Facebook Group Taking Control Expired Domain

I recently bought an expired domain which also had a facebook group. The group is fairly sizable.

There are no longer any admins on the group and I have tried to contact the previous admin/domain owner.

I'm sure I'm not the first to be in this situation. If you are the owner of a domain that has expired will facebook add you as the admin of the facebook group?

Likely FB is tied to previous registrants email and contact info, which unless you can track that person down and transfer their email account credentials (unlikely). I tried to track down and had no success. As unreasonable as that FB is, I doubt it. I have a domain that gets traffic still from 10+ year old posts on FB and have no control nor care about using FB at all.

I do think it will be very difficult unless I can contact the previous owner. I doubt FB will be willing to make the changes for me.

It would have been nice to try and find a sponsor for the group.

I will have to redirect all the old links.
