Facebook allows you to promote groups. Until recently, most ad accounts could choose a group as their objective for engagement.
Now, most accounts don't have this option. But it can be changed by api. This is just one parameter in your ad set. Later, when you add an ad. You will see the option to select the group.

You can also change it in the SoMe Planner app, somewhere I had a link to a video with instructions...

You can promote your Facebook group indirectly by creating a Facebook page, linking the group to the page, posting about the group on the page, and then using Facebook ads to boost those posts and reach a larger audience. However, you can't run ads directly targeting a group. Look up exiscale.com they probably can help with some valuable insights aged accounts.
 
As far as I know, there is currently no form of group promotion
you can post your post and introduce it to everyone
 
yes, you can create FB group and promote. Better you can create What'App group , it worked batter for me.
 
1. open group
2. boost group
3. close group
4. Ads with post + link in describtion or comment
5. Wait for 1k+ invites
6. Open group

If you want we are doing groups for many businesses.

I wonder what the cost of FN ads for 1k Group subscribers?
will be the same type of campaign for an FB page and the same cost for 1h FB page subs?
 
Facebook groups cannot advertise directly. You can only introduce the group through posts so that people know the group better.
 
You can create attractive posts introducing your group, invite friends and page followers to join the group, create engaging content within the group to maintain and grow the group size more and more strongly
 
Or one way is to run ads using Fanpages related to the topic of your group, and then attach the group link to the post for them to join.
 
very difficult to get, it's not like promoting the page but you can try to insert your gr link in the ad

and If the "destination" option isn't available for my group, I can explore using Facebook's API to create custom promotions
