Don't really do social networking but i came across an interesting video. This is the idea.

1. Grab huge email lists, Quite allot in the 'Email Marketing and Opt-In Lists' section, Or you can use an extractor.

2. Correct their format and export them into Gmail as shown in the video.

3. On Facebook click find friends through your Gmail account and you will then be able to add those who do have a FB account from the email list.

It took him 2 days to get under 1k friends, that's not good (lol it would not let me say "that's SH**" so that's not good will have to do.

granted its another method if all else fails. but it looks very time consuming.

If you're doing it on multiple accounts at once it's good though, right?
 
adding 5k friends for few days hmm is it safe for your account ?

i dont want to risk to get banned .
 
my one account got suspended when i used that method while ago ! i recommend not to use that excessively

What I would do, and what I'm doing now, is add less on numerous accounts. You're still getting the same amount of friends overall but it's spread out so there's less risk of being caught. Then you can just grow each one a bit larger and have it the same size as you would have one big one anyway.

Not sure if you're asking me but I'll answer anyway.

So far I've added ~700 on each account. Obviously not all of them will accept but once you get quite a few friends people start adding you, if you make your profile female with a cute picture. ;)
