No way in hell can you have unlimited friends. It's not like MySpace. You are supposed to use it to connect with people you already know so when you think about it, they're being more than generous. I mean, who really knows 5,000+ people?

Alright i have a facebook question

How come on some accounts i start and wait 24 hours for i will add like 50 friends then get disabled but i can add 95 on an account at 2-3 second speed on my account with 820 friends. It make no sense.

Then on other account i with 500 friends i will add 30-40 then get a warning

Facebook is nuts they are way to advanced anymore.

Hmmm interesting... Cos the thing is my non pva accounts r getting disabled as soon as I reach 500 friends or somewhere around 500 friends...Thanks for the info tho...:)

The max amount of friends you can have on a Facebook account it almost all cases is 5,000.

Now the amount you can add per day is about 50 (spaced out). Some people say they do more but i use that as a good guide line for not getting accounts banned.

I watch some other accounts...today got 5002 and tomorrow got 4998
sometimes got 5001 and then back to 4999

so maybe 5K

5k is the limit
And though most of ppl hate it
but fact is this that in 2009 only 986 profiles had 5K frnds

I've seen some with 5001 too, I figured it was possibly a glitch, like if you accept 2 friends in quick succession before facebook has time to recognize the limit being reached and locking future requests or acceptances.

I don't think it's related to the number of ignores at all, in contrast the claim earlier in the thread.

wow i just learned something new lol, i definitely did not know there was a maximum number of friends u could have

i don't seem to have a problem with this. in fact. i think i actually get a little over 100 friend request a day. wierd.
i accept them all, all groups. i don't send request though, account is about a year old and had 112 incoming friend request today lol.

The limit is 5,000 for personal accounts. If you want to build up more, you need to start a Facebook Fan Page, which allows for unlimited friends/ fans.

but friends have much, much more privileges than fans

getting 5k fans to a page is a walk in the park compared to 5K friends

5K is like putting all your eggs in one basket. it's better to have 100's of accounts with fewer friends than risk tripping facebook's filters with friend-loaded accounts. if you post a spammy status update the odds of losing your account is greater if 40 of your friends report you versus an account with only 500 friends where you may get only 4 reports.
