Facebook Fanpage Competition Help/Ideas

Basicly, im trying to host a competition on my fan page to drive more fans to the page etc cut a long story short im looking for the best possible ways to do this..

Ive thought about people who exist on the page inviting friends and whoever had the most would win the giveaway but not sure if that can be tracked, other than that i just wanted to ask some of you seasoned fb marketers if you have attempted such a thing and how did you go about it?

Only way is to use Likes on Posts or Videos
Or u have to create different tabs for each user
 
mmmmmmm so theres no way i could create some type of white 3 step? where they have to like or share something to be an "opt-in" so to speak
 
U can Create a 3 Sttep Tab
But if u force Invite Its against FB tos

You can use Like and Share Script though
 
im just trying to generate the most buzz from a giveaway thats all to generate more fans and obviously respect to the page/business
 
It depends what your page is about? Is it a niche or complexly random?
 
niche is gaming and 90% are xbox users. 26,000 active users, just looking to generate more buzz. The page is also part of a gaming business

What are you looking to active in the long run? Are you just looking to build numbers and moneitize or sharing your community/website?
 
im just looking to bulk the page up so i have obviously more numbers to stick my site in front of. the site is very targetted to what i have so there needs to be no change it that department, im just looking to generate a bit of buzz with some giveaways each week.

well i dont even know if this is allowed on facebook actually, your not even allowed to message a user if they have won via facebook messaging, wtf ??

You may require that an entrant like a Page, check in to a Place, or connect to your Platform integration before providing their full entry information for a promotion. You will not condition entry to the promotion upon taking any other action on Facebook, for example, liking a status update or photo, commenting on a Wall, or uploading a photo.

There are a few different things you can do.

1. You could setup the 3 STEP FBML page. (It's the viral script)
2. You could start a contest using the site wildfireapp. com/tour

With wildfire you can create:

This is directly from the site. These help create interaction.

yeah i saw wildfireapp, i guess thats the only "white" way of going about running contests, as it looks like facebook have some ground rules and require a huge deposit if running them. No idea though, bit of a new area.
 
Also i will add, my demographics are 13-18 males US/UK/CA/AUS and facebook say you cannot run any contest to under 18, they are crazy mind
 
Maybe you should be targeting the parents of these individuals? That would seem like a much more targeted demographic seeing as the 13 - 18 year olds can't purchase anything legally.
 
swipetek, my intentions are aimed at 13-18 mate however i wont be able to go into any more than i have BUT 13-18 for my site is the ripe demographics :) No selling involved.
