Facebook Fan Page Business

Yeah true and well said. Fan page is now becoming an important element that can boost up your business too.

Build backlinks to it, i have always found the more backlinks you have the more traffic you will get. The more traffic you get is the more people to likely hit the "like" button on your page. Works everytime for me, because you always Need 25 people to like your page before you can make it an actually custom URL page that Big G picks up.

Its hard to get REAL fans for small business. Look how many fans per customer big companies (like microsoft) have and count it down how many small companies COULD have then. You cant force things... either you do blackhat or you wont have thousands of fans...

it's possible to get thousands of fans if you properly incentivize them. You can use facebook advertising to direct pretty cheap and targeted traffic to the page, but the catch is that you have to have a properly optimized facebook page. You need to do what is called fan-gating or use locked content. There is a method to show different content to fans vs non-fans and to have that tab load if they are non-fans. You then offer and mp3/ebook/contest submit/file download etc that is enticing to them, but requires they become a fan to get the link, and this can convert like crazy.

you really don't need thousands of fans, many small business don't have any clue about pages, i got my first sale the other day, when I walked into a deli, and decided to just ask the owner if he had a facebook page. 15 minutes later I walked away with a great sandwich and my first facebook page, there is so much potential i am going to hit every business owner in my new city that just moved.

how you promote it is simple, after 2 days you can find the business on facebook just create a flier on word that says Find us on facebook search for "primos deli" and like us, we will have coupons, specials, and much more. Also tell the business owner that once they have 25 likes that they can start promoting their fan page on business cards, fliers, at the table or by word of mouth.
