What can you say about the Fake news that are spreading in the Facebook now a days? Do you believe too that the Facebook should make an action to stop those accounts that keep on sharing that fake news? here in my country fake news is a serious issue that's why I do believe that the Facebook should help my beloved country to fight those people who post fake news in social media and the number one is the Facebook

If people are so stupid to believe everything they read, let em be but everyone should have the freedom to speak freely, whether is true or bs

Everyone? Including bots? These fake news are created and spread by fakes and bots often
Twitter is also full of bots spreading lies with bots generating thousands of fake likes and creating a false sense of consensus.

That's FB's job to find and delete fake users/bots.

There's no way Facebook would be able control and verify the authenticity of so many content in a short time.

80% of stuff read on Facebook twitter ect is fake rubbish or exaggerated rubbish
 
Fakes are everywhere and there's nothing you can do about it
 
Fakes are everywhere. Don't trust all news of Facebook.
 
If you want freedom of speech, it means accepting fake news will be there and you will need to decide the real from fake yourself. If you want regulated speech, well it means your speech will get regulated too and someone else will decide real from fake for you.
 
If 100,000 people can believe the world is flat... then you can think for yourself... because anything is now possible ;) Now you can be the one to tell them anything.
 
How do you know its a fake news?
Everyone should have a right to free speech and it's up to you if you want to believe it or not.

Every country facing this issue of fake news, facebook is also working on this , whenever goverment of any country demanded about the removal of the fake news and any kind of vedios that is spreading hate in that country facebook remove that thing , people should also aware of news not every thing deserve to be believed , they should find out the truth behind that news .
 
The people who are getting manipulated by fake news on social media are the same people who would be susceptible to propaganda in traditional media, and snake oil salesmen in shopping centres. It will need something like the programmatic adpocolypse, and big brands kicking Meta's butt to try and make them act on it.
They make money from rage.
Fake news gets rage.
 
It's a two-way street, in my opinion. The worst and most harmful misinformation should definitely be crossed out by Facebook, at the same time the user has the responsibility of looking further into any information the consume over the net to determine it's authenticity and legitimacy.
 
If you are using the Chrome browser, install the This is Fake utility at https://goo.gl/RNHhWj, Add to Chrome > Add extension (compatible with Chrome, Coc Coc, Yandex, Opera...).

Specifically, this utility will re-check content through Slate to identify fake news. When surfing Facebook, fake posts will be marked in red for users to recognize. Besides, you can also report a fake post by clicking the Report story as fake option.
