I keep getting this message when trying to invite friends to an event on facebook.

'Please narrow your invite list to friends who are most likely to be interested in this event.

If you've received this message in error, visit this form.'


Is anyone else getting this?

try two times more .... close your event .... come back later and try again ...

this is what worked for me ...

i highlight about 600 at a go though
 
No i never got it, may be your invite list is relatively too large that's why its occurred minimizing you list you can try again.
 
Yeah, it happened to me too and unfortunately I think there's no way around it besides narrowing your invite list.
 
Ok I am glad I am not the only one gettting that message "Please narrow your invite list to friends who are most likely to be interested in this event." What I was trying to do was add all mine and my fellow promotors friends to one event. It got upto 4500 but then started giving me that error.
Here is the crazy part:
One of the other promoters I know personally has an invite going where he invited 16,000 people in one day, but won't give me the info on how he did it. I believe its a specific software he uses. Just dont know which one it is....
 
i think the events are gettin flagged as i have some that get the error and others that dont
 
Its a pain in the arse really. As i need to invite friends to events. :(
 
Hi there, in the same boat as you all...all i have been able to do is invite 80 at a time, e.g open the invite box,
checkbox with the select all code,
send,
open again,
scroll down a bit and select all and do it again....
give me a shout if anyone has found anyway to avoid the narrow your list roadblock let me know.
 
I have been getting this too, and it is awful. I'm a promoter, and I never invited more than 50 people at a go. Now I can't invite more than 10 -20 without getting this error message. And then in takes me to a form that looks like I'm reporting my own event for spam - no thank you.

I don't what to do, and I'd be very interested in any solutions

Try to invite 20-30 friends each time.

Don't invite a lot of friends onetime only...
 
I've done a lot of experimenting on this...it seems as if the bigger the Event Invite, the more restrictive that Facebook gets. FOr example, when an Event has zero Invites yet, I've been able to Invite like 400-500 Friends in one go. However, say the same event has over 10,000 Invited....then you gotta Invite 5 at a time.

Don't thank me all at once now LOL
 
I also believe this error occurs more often if you are not the creator of the Event you are trying to invite people to.
