I overheard a converstation by some social media marketers, that they take facebook emails & id's and extract it from a group and send a direct msg or email msg, is this actually real?

they won't be able to send messages , but those user id's and emails are usually used while running fb ads !

Please can you shed more light on how it is able to send messages?. I tried but it did not work for me.

it can send message but the receiver will not notify, it will go to other folders.

I was unable to find in the demo where it scraped emails. Could you point me to it? Or are you referring just to UIDs?
