We sell highly customisable online service (for gamers out there, we sell Runescape boosting service haha).

Anywyays, every order is different. (there is an overlap of general items, however, since each item is customisable and since there are a wide variety of said items, out of thousands of orders we have received, less than 3% were identical, and these were 1-item purchases.

THE QUESTION

Is it possible to create abandon check out ads that would directly drive people back to abandoned cart session they left?

Yes, it is possible... you will need a catalog to enable the dynamic ads, if its Shopify the cart should remain loaded with their items when they come back, you can send them directly to the cart as well. if the products are not preloaded, this can be done with simple coding.

Hey man, hmm, so I could create an audience based on INITIATE CHECK OUTS and then make an ad that drive people to the cart url?

Issue with catalog is that say I add STRENGTH training as a product.

We have 99 levels.

Means there are almost infinite possibilities of variants, a person could order levels 1-99 or 69-77 or 33-97.

As far as I understand some random combination would be presented in the dynamic catalog ad.

I guess I did not phrase my question fully: my aim is to show the person dynamic ad based on his abandon check out.

Say he abandons 1-99 leveling, I want him to see an add that says, hey, order 1-99 today.

Wait, maybe I can define each possible level gap as a product (not sure how many products I can upload haha, cause there gonna be millions of variations, considering there are 28 different skills and they all go from 1 to 99).

Each "Variation" that you can create separately as an "onsite" product, can be fully tracked.

If these are dynamic and are compiled from multiple "add to carts" - it is possible with a CDP and some dev work

Let's say a person adds to cart SKILL A: level 66-77 ...for this SKILL A we will have all possible variations from 1 to 99, i.e 1-33 ...4-88 ...97-99 etc etc

My questions is: will this person who added to his cart SKILL A: level 66-77 will only see in retargeting what he added to the cart? Or will his feed will be randomised and he can potentially see a random variation of levels 1-33 (which in his case wont make any sense, because he is already level 66 in SKILL A)

He will see a randomised variation of the products within the range he chose.

For example if A66-A77 means 11 different products - all these 11 will be span in the ads.

If your cart recognize this action as one product was bundled and added, you will need to break down each product add to an event, or, you could specify that this one add action is considered a "bundle" (on the tech end) and than people are retargeted with said bundle as a whole.
