Facebook Competitions

Does anyone know about running Facebook Competitions and HOW these bring in more fans and more likes?

You would set up a competition in a way that encourages people to share or like a page. For example you might fangate your page and have a form that people have to fill out. Make it so the only way they can get to the form is by liking the page.
You can entice people to share content by saying they will be entered to win something if they share a post. That way people who are interested in what you are offering will share the post . Those are just some basic ideas.

Just a reminder according to Facebook's rules Likes, Comments, or Shares in exchange for a reward or price is not allowed. It would only take one report and your in trouble. But lot's of people do it. Just make sure that your not prone to getting reported. Also post the winners pictures with the item. This gives you credibility for any future contests you might be running.

i've seen alot of people tagging other people in a post with the competition + image. That way the post was getting more likes! It could be very annoying for the tagged persons!
