Cloaking: If you want to run ads on FB, sometimes when running CPA offers, you can get easily banned from FB because they don't allow these type of offers. So what you can do is to get a cloaker, which shows different link to FB ad approval team and send traffic to your cpa offer link. This is pretty much the only way to run some CPA offers, like email submits, free trials, adult dating, etc.. on FB ads, and not getting banned.

The usual application for a FB cloaker is to show one landing page to a FB reviewer and another landing page to an actual visitor.

the questions here are hilarious...so, i put a physical cloak, like a canvas tarp or a big piece of cloth on top of my monitor after i opened facebook...now what? how do i drive traffic to this? do i have to go outside and physically direct cars into my driveway, get the people to come inside, look at my cloth-covered monitor, and ask them for money? should i charge admission or just a small parking fee? do i give tokens or punch a ticket? sorry, i ask questions like this all the time, so just having a laugh.

at the risk of sounding ignorant, how could any script detect whether or not somebody looking at your ad and the website its linking to is from facebooks review team?

Even if you have a working facebook cloaking script. How does that help with your ad itself? You can't promote "Find friends online" and then forward them to an Adult site. That won't convert since you lose the laser-targeting of your audience. Or do I miss something?

Why can't you just make a pretty link pointing to a real page and then after it gets approved, change the pretty link redirect?

Yep, seems like that would work, since Pretty Links change on the backend. Might have to give that a try.
