Hey, I've been wondering what (if any) facebook chat bots are out there... After taking a quick look at google's first page, I couldn't find any. Is it because there's no demand for it? I'm posting on this section because I might try to create one, if needed.

Definitely possible, currently wondering about building one myself right now.

I'd recommend making your own, the ones that are sold online usually suck and a Facebook chat bot is difficult to do because the computer would need to have real sounding conversations and grammar and responses. If you want to make one a scientist named swizec teller doc a good study on this

I might be able to help if you give some more details on what the chat bot is supposed to do. I've worked on a few artificial intelligence programs for language processing and generation
 
Facebook has some API for chat bots, but I'd expect they are fairly lame—I think more intended for auto-reply type "Hey, how are you today" type messaging and less of "I noticed you were showing interest in X, my cousin tried Y the other day and said it was waay better. link to Y"

If you're familiar with Python, I'd suggest you check out the Natural Language Tool Kit, (NLTK) which is pretty powerful straight
 
Actually, I have coded a chat bot for Facebook ( as well as kik, omegle, etc ) for adult traffic. Back in 2014, when their xmpp servers were public, it was easier to implement it. Although it's still easy today, but definitely a lot has changed on their side as well.

I think you are mistaking the "Fanpage Autoresponder" to what OP is talking about. He's asking about a real chat bot, in which you can auto reply to friends and everything. And it is definitely possible, me and a group of people are using it 24/7 for adult traffic.

Would you be willing to sell me FB/Omegle/KIK Bots? Need those ASAP PM me
 
There were before many, But fb consistently upgrading api's, I don't think their is currently working available.
