I have a Chinese friend whose Facebook account can not work now, so he wanted to get new one. He started to register on Facebook, knowing that it need to verify his government ID, so he uploaded it, then waiting there. But after few days, he got a news from Facebook, which said we cannot recognize your government ID, you may upload a more clear one. My friend do it again, but still can not work, his photo can't be so clear. What happened to Facebook? Is Facebook can not recognize Chinese government ID or something else, i am confused.

I think you can try to get a scan for the photo id, translate it to English in the same image, then send it to FB again.
However, I strongly recommend you not to upload real id to FB. Get a fake one, that's easy. Protect yourself, never reveal personal info on the internet.

Facebook must've really started taking their ID verification process seriously in the last couple of years. A few years ago, I needed to send a photo ID in to Facebook to change my name for the 15th time, but I didn't want them to have my real ID so I sent them a fake ID with a picture of a cat on it. They approved it and I got to change my name.

Sometimes your ID photo was not clear. Make it clear and resend it.
