Hey everyone, I'm probably on the wrong side of the forum but I need some help/advise.

I have a legitimate business (Hair Salon) in which I boosts out our sales and advertisements. We currently reach over 1k per post. This might not sound like a lot but it's a target area and the age range of 18-65+. The problem i'm having is these posts are only getting about 20 likes per 1k posts. And for some reason all of my advertising (over 80%) is reaching an audience of 65+. Any experts want to help me figure out whats going on?

Your post is not clear man, What you mean by 1k reach per post? is it organic or paid?

You shouldn't be using the boost button - you need to be using Facebook Ads Manager (https://www.facebook.com/ads/manager/) and creating custom campaigns.

I spend roughly $7-$10 per day at $0.005-$0.001 per engagement reaching 5k-8k targeted audience.

Here's an example of one of my campaigns from yesterday:

Okay, I'm listening. Would you be happy to help me out? Maybe take this in pm or via email?

My strategy right now has been boost, and everyone who likes i send an invite. It's netted me 40 people for the 20$ i've spent. But remember this is a <100K city

There's nothing really special I'm doing - I research my target audience - select the right demographics/interests - create a good ad post - and let the ads roll.

Also you have the right idea about inviting after people like your post - a great way to grow.

If you would like to discuss 'additional help' setting up your service you can pm me but I highly advise trying out setting up your campaigns through Facebook Ads Manager.

Okay - i did a reach campaign, but I got a feeling I want an engagment campaign. There is no likes going on with this campaign so it's hard to see what I get out of this. Also, it didn't actually post anything to my page so I just did it myself.

I need some sort of guidance, something doesn't make sense.

I suggest to you, to start first likes campaings, get as many likes in your fanpage, then instead of boosting your ads promote your products

So I don't really have products it's a service. What i've been doing is running reach campaigns an I've gotten 20+ likes out of it. It just seems to me I should be getting more.
